Michigan Greens Respond to "State of the State"
===============================================
MGTV Will Show Greens' 20-Minute Issue Discussion
Wednesday, Thursday After Granholm, GOP Speeches

Leaders of the Green Party of Michigan (GPMI)
will present the party's view of the state of the
state on Michigan Government Television Network
(MGTV) this week.

The 20-minute Green response, taped last week,
is scheduled to be shown on MGTV at 8:20pm Wednesday
evening and 12:20pm Thursday afternoon. Both times,
Greens will appear after the Granholm "State of the
State" speech and the GOP reply.

The issue discussion is moderated by Matthew Abel,
one of Michigan's representatives on the National
Committee of the Green Party of the United States
(GPUS). Abel ran as GPMI's candidate for U.S. Senate
in 2000.

Joining Abel are two other Green Party leaders
in Michigan. Sylvia Inwood is GPMI's chair, and
was recently elected co-chair of the GPUS National
Women's Caucus.

Doug Campbell, GPMI Vice Chair/Committee Manager,
was the Green standard-bearer in Michigan in 2002.
Campbell ran for governor against Democrat Granholm,
Republican Dick Posthumus, and Joseph Pilchak of the
US Constitution Party.
