The 20-minute Green response, taped last week, is scheduled to be shown on MGTV at 8:20pm Wednesday evening and 12:20pm Thursday afternoon. Both times, Greens will appear after the Granholm "State of the State" speech and the GOP reply. The issue discussion is moderated by Matthew Abel, one of Michigan's representatives on the National Committee of the Green Party of the United States (GPUS). Abel ran as GPMI's candidate for U.S. Senate in 2000. Joining Abel are two other Green Party leaders in Michigan. Sylvia Inwood is GPMI's chair, and was recently elected co-chair of the GPUS National Women's Caucus. Doug Campbell, GPMI Vice Chair/Committee Manager, was the Green standard-bearer in Michigan in 2002. Campbell ran for governor against Democrat Granholm, Republican Dick Posthumus, and Joseph Pilchak of the US Constitution Party.
