This past Friday night a couple Green musician friends were at my
house sharing some songs. Clifford Scholz played one that caused
the rest of us to ask: Where'd you get that? Who wrote it??! He
said he did. We told him he needed to record it. So Dawn
McClain set up a recording session for Sunday night. Thanks to
the equipment, recording and guitar expertise of John Finan, plus
the singing and guitar work of Janet Hailey, plus vocal input
from Clifford Scholz, Dawn McClain, Ken Young, and even me, we
came up with something that we, and hopefully you, will find
inspiring.
John will be making 10 CD's of it for us to copy/distribute
(quickly!) around the state and country, and he will also be
doing an MP3 of it that I can make available on the migreens web
site for faster widespread distribution.
The lyrics and chords are shown below. I guess the only way to
get the tune (and the ad lib spoken parts) is to listen to the
recording or get one of us (not me) to sing it for you. I'm
hoping we can have song sheets and someone with a guitar at our
election night party in Ann Arbor at Leopold's).
