DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS: (tentative deadline)

Saturday, July 31, 2004 via email or postal mail (no
email attachments will be accepted; please send your
proposal/s in the body of an email) This will allow the
Meeting Manager time to compile all proposals and mail
them to registered meeting participants at least one
week prior to the meeting.

Proposals submitted after that time will be considered
for discussion on the floor of the meeting, and
proposers are responsible for bringing sufficient
copies of their submission. Please note that there is
absolutely no guarantee that proposals submitted after
the deadline will find time on the agenda.

Proposals submitted PRIOR to the deadline will be
accepted on first-received, first included basis as
follows: 1st emailed submission followed by first
postal submission, etc., until in the Meeting Manager's
estimation all available business discussion time has
been allocated. The Meeting Manager will then post a
tentative business agenda listing the proposed agenda
items for discussion along with any items that did not
seem to fit, and will follow the will of the membership
as much as possible in creating the final agenda.

Directions to Hawk Woods Nature Center

Map to Hawk Woods

From Detroit, Ann Arbor and Flint, it's an hour's drive or less.

The nature center and lodge is located in northern Oakland
County, near I-75 and near the Palace of Auburn Hills. The park
is owned by the city of Auburn Hills. From I-75 northbound or
southbound, take the exit to Lapeer Road. Northbound, this is
exit 81. Southbound, I'm not sure of the number; it may be 82
instead of 81.

In either case, you will head east, passing just to the south of
the Palace of Auburn Hills. You want to be in the right-hand
lane, to take the exit to "Pontiac-South."

Down on the surface street, you need to move to the left lane to
follow the brown-background sign directing you to turn back north
(around the median) for Hawk Woods Nature Center. Now you want to
go for the right-hand lane, because you are going to take the
next right after this turn around the median. Most of the signs
for this lane appear to be directing you back to I-75, and that's
where you will be headed in this lane if you miss the turn to
Bald Mountain Road. Bald Mountain Road here is parallel to the
main highway, and the turn is just a short jog to the right
followed by an immediate left onto a two-lane blacktop headed
north.

There is a small sign at this last turn that says "Nature
Center," but this one might be easy to miss if you are watching
traffic. You were last headed north on the main road, and you
will continue north on Bald Mountain. Follow the two-lane, which
quickly turns from industrial to rural, for one mile. Hawk Woods
Nature Center is on the left, clearly marked with a large sign by
the driveway. It is screened by shrubbery until you are close
but, if you are driving at the 25 mph speed limit, you aren't
going fast enough to drive by.
