Alternative Lodging

Alternate lodging to the Days Inn (for upcoming
nominating convention)...Aug 3 & 4. If you are
planning on staying overnight, and haven't made
reservations...best you get going! (IF Day's Inn
is full or you prefer other digs)...

Regent Inn
6501 S. Cedar
Lansing, MI 48911
(517) 393-2030
FAX (517) 393-2542
(may be slightly cheaper than Days Inn....but
also may be full! Right across a busy street
from entrance to Day's Inn.)

Super 8 Motel
910 American Rd.
Lansing, MI 48911
Ph: 1-800-800-8000 (not kidding on this number!)
or (517) 393-8008
(tucked into nw quadrant of Cedar/I-96...
almost directly west, and across major street,
from Days Inn. When you exit 104..... do not
turn left on Pennsylvania (Green Party sign) to
get to Days Inn..... stay straight, across Pennsylv.
and Cedar...turn left on American Rd. Go in a
ways.. swing left...you'll see Bob Evans. Super 8
right behind that.)

Econo Lodge
1100 Ramada
Lansing, MI 48911
ph: (517) 394-7200
FAX (517) 394-0826
(See above...instead of turning left off Exit 104
onto s-bound Pennsylv (to Days Inn)...turn right,
headed north on Pennsylv. Very short distance...
look right.. Ramada first small street. Turn right...
Econo Lodge tucked in back.)

With the Day's Inn the above 3 are the "affordable"
places to stay. Also in the immediate area...

Holiday Inn
6820 S. Cedar Street
Lansing, MI 48911
ph: (517) 694-8123
FAX: (517) 699-3753
(Check your phone book for 1-800 reservations!
Holiday Inn is SOUTH of I-96.... just a short
distance south of Charlie Kang's. Instead of
turning left, off Exit 104 onto Pennsylv.... go
straight...past Pennsylv. and Cedar intersections,
make 180 degree turn on boulevard to get back
to Cedar...turn right, headed south toward, and
under I-96. Holiday Inn a short distance further...
right hand (west) side of Cedar.

Governors Inn
6133 S. Pennsylvania
Lansing, MI 48911
(517) 393-5500
FAX (517) 393-5548
(See above). As you exit 104...look right before
hitting first traffic light...you'll see Gov. Inn. Turn
right at that first light...Pennsylvania...headed
north. Governors Inn on the right...seconds
after you make the turn.

Again...Holiday Inn and Gov. Inn are "pricier"
that the first 3 places...... very high for some rooms!

All the above 5 places are on the map in your packet
and, reportedly, on the migreens webpage. (And all are
close or VERY close to the Days Inn). If you still
have any problems finding the places.... suggest you
arrive at Days Inn. I/ another Green/volunteer/or
someone will guide you to your destination...only minutes
away!

(And, when I say walking distance..... let's be a bit more
accurate. This is oneof the most heavily-developed, and
high-traffic areas...with screwy highway geometrics... in
Lansing...or Michigan...or the U.S.! (This ain't Camp
Niobe!) As Sgt. whats-his-name said in the beginning of
each Hill St. Blues show..... "be careful out there!"
You'll have to walk across, or along, one/two busy,
major, multi-lane highways...if you opt to foot it. But,
they ARE close by.
