Wright, is seeking the Green Party nomination for the Michigan House of Representatives, 84th District, which consists of Huron and Tuscola Counties, primarily the Thumb of Michigan. The seat is currently held by Tom Meyer(R), a publisher from Bad Axe. It is also sought by Tom Kern(D), currently the Tuscola County Sheriff. The ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, who prefers to be called Reverand Happy and insists he is not Catholic, is running on an anti-corruption platform which consists of: photo speed enforcement; winning the drug war by declaring peace on soft drugs; ending oral sex laws, sodomy laws and other statutes persecutory to homosexuals; legalizing prostitution; removing D.A.R.E, Creationism, Religious Displays and Abstinence-only brainwashing from public schools, courthouses and other public property. The Rev. Happy recently organized a well-publicized Marijuana March in Flint after years of chronicling the development of this phenomina online. He has been involved statewide in the fight to change drug laws, currently representing the Thumb Area in the Michigan Marijuana Movement after two years and thousands of signatures for the PRA. Planned to be re-released in 2003, the Personal Resposibility Ammendment garnered 80,000 signatures the first year, and 280,000 the second.
